Creating Picture Books with an e-Twist in the Primary Classroom
Workshop by Rachel Boyd

Abstract:

Kids love picture books! They are a rich visual language resource and provide students with brilliant inspiration for their own writing.

Creating a picture book with your class is a great opportunity to get students excited and working collaboratively on a creative eLearning project that weaves together reading, writing, visual language and art.

Share in my experiences when entering the Feet First Picture Book competition for the past 2 years with my classes. Take a closer look at the skills involved and the learning being developed in the journey from idea generation through to writing, editing and illustrating the picture book.
